Welcome to Hardy Brothers Outdoors where #OutdoorsIsAlwaysInSeason
Two brothers, Jason and Josh Hardy,
that love to be outside because...
"Outdoors Is Always In Season"
We like to say Outdoors Is Always In Season because we always have an excuse to be outside enjoying outdoor activities. We enjoy hunting, fishing, trapping, shed hunting, habitat management, food plotting, sawmilling, timber management, mushroom hunting, and simply kicking back and relaxing with family and friends... As passionate outdoorsmen, we are working hard to pass this love for the outdoors on to our kids, family, friends, and to you, as well.
We never shy away from a challenge and we often learn the hard way. Our goal is to share our experiences with like minded folks while learning from others.
BIG NEWS: SOLIS Tractors USA, the #5 largest producer of tractors in the world, has joined forces with us to help launch their compact tractor series in the United States. Learn more about SOLIS Tractors and our partnership below.
We have over 175 acres under management in Southeastern Ohio, of which 80 is a reclaimed strip mine that was planted with invasive plants and ignored for 40+ years. We call this strip mine rejuvenation the Habitat Oasis Project and our mission is simple; To be good stewards of the land; leave it better than we found it and to return the property to native habitat oasis that wildlife love.
Between the two of us we've owned three John Deere, one Massey Ferguson and now we have SOLIS USA tractors;
We document our use and reviews of our various attachments which include implements made by SOLIS, Titan, Countyline, Tartar, Frontier, Hud-son, Uniforest, AGL, and FIMCO.
In this comprehensive 10 episode guide for new compact tractor buyers we cover Use case considerations, Pricing, Things to ask your dealer, Safety and Negotiation tips.
Episodes include Which Tractor, Front End Loaders, Backhoes, Mid Mount Mowers, Rotary Cutters, Tillers, 3pt PTO Skidding Winches, Back Blade, Box Blade, and Post Hole Diggers. We feature products from John Deere, Frontier, CountyLine, Titan Attachments, and Uniforest.
Hunting means much more to us than "the kill"... it is the enjoyment of the pursuit... the preparation, the hours spent in the woods before, during, and after each season... the enjoyment of harvest and the appreciation of the animals. We spend more time and effort on the conservation of the animals and habitat that most will ever imagine. Jason and Josh were introduced to the sport, or some say lifestyle, as youth and continue to enjoy the year round experience. Here we will share our stories, experiences, and the products we rely on to hunt safely and successfully.
We recently purchased a Wood-Mizer LT35 with hydraulics and Hud-son Uniforest PTO Skidding Winch and are learning how to mill our own lumber and have many projects coming soon. We plan to build a sawmill shed, shooting houses, guest cabins, sheds, and anything else that comes to mind. Eventually furniture from the slabs we cut.
John Deere 1025R tip overs are talked about all the time but are they a design flaw in the tractor, operator error or something else? I talk about the physics of a tip over, why tractors tip over, how to make your tractor more stable and finally give you my opinion on whether there is something wrong with the John Deere 1025R.
Is the John Deere 1025R enough tractor to get the job done? In this video, I share my experience with the tractor as well as several attachments including the H120 loader, 60" belly mower deck, Frontier 2048 brush hog and the Frontier RT1149 rotary tiller.
John Deere 1025R Things They Aren't Telling You is my opportunity to share some info with you from my 5 years of ownership. I talk about topics like tip-overs, overheat and lift capacity with a focus on tractor issues vs operator issues.
I will provide you with some negotiation tips and insights on the things I learned when purchasing my tractors. I used many of these tips and approaches on my John Deere 1025R and John Deere 4052R but you could use them on a 2 series or 3 series tractor like a 2032R, 2038R, etc.
Our cheapest and most used attachment on our 3 John Deere Compact Tractors. We use it on the #JohnDeere 1025R, John Deere 2032R (2038R), and our John Deere 4052R. It is iMatch and Quick Hitch compatible and we use it all the time around our property.
Review of John Deere 2032R compact tractor after 175 hours over roughly 3 years. I believe this to be the "Swiss Army Knife" of compact tractors as it is extremely versatile yet powerful. Purchasing and sizing considerations, what I purchased, 3 things I like, 3 things I don't like, and considerations that changed 3 years later.
Using the Wood-Mizer LT35, we mill our first maple log into lumber and get a feel for the hydraulics, adjustments, and overall need for more hours of experience
Tractor Supply CountyLine 25 ton log splitter won't start, it stalls after 2-3 seconds. Easy fix takes less than 10 minutes. Use this fix on any brand log splitter and for many small engine repair needs.
FIMCO 40 Gallon 3 Point Sprayer Review (12V 4 Nozzel) an essential tool for our food plots and habitat management projects. Honest review of the good, the bad, and the ugly and how we have modified for success.
Quick review of the CountyLine 25 Ton Log Splitter purchased from Tractor Supply Co. (TSC)... Demonstration of the auto-return, vertical splitting, horizontal splitting, and a few tips and tricks.
You have questions, and I have answers.
The goal here is to keep everyone safe.
Watch This Before Buying a Sawmill. Should I buy a Woodmizer? I review why I chose to buy a Wood-Mizer and the WoodMizer LT35 (LT35HDG25) for my portable sawmill needs vs buying the Norwood HD36 or a mill from Hud-Son.
